Traces its origin to 1952 when Marion D. Patterson, Jr., began his law practice with his uncle, the Honorable George G. Patterson, former Judge of the Court of Common Pleas of Blair County. In 1957, Merle K. Evey entered into practice with Marion D. Patterson, Jr. and the partnership of Patterson and Evey was formed in 1961. Over the ensuing years, the firm rapidly expanded with the addition of attorneys concentrating in various legal disciplines. This growth has resulted in the firm’s evolution into one of Central Pennsylvania’s most respected legal names. In 2004, Evey Black Attorneys was awarded the Blair County Chamber of Commerce’s highest honor when it was inducted into the Chamber’s Business Hall of Fame. The firm maintains a second office in Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania, serving its expanding clientele in southern Blair and Bedford Counties. Currently the firm has eight partners, one associate, and one attorney of counsel, making it Blair County’s largest legal firm. With its roots firmly entrenched in the history of Blair County and Hollidaysburg, Evey Black has endeavored through the years to render high quality and personalized legal service to its many clients.
