The Hollidaysburg Area School District is located in the center of Blair County, in central Pennsylvania, approximately 95 miles east of Pittsburgh and 130 miles west of Harrisburg. The district encompasses 120 square miles and comprises the boroughs of Hollidaysburg, Duncansville and Newry, and the townships of Allegheny, Blair, Frankstown, and Juniata. With Hollidaysburg as the Blair County seat, the district has a stable population of approximately 26,500 residents. Seven colleges are located in the region including St. Francis University, Juniata College, Mount Aloysius College, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, The Pennsylvania State University, Penn State-Altoona Campus, and the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown Campus.
