In a recent non-conference match, the tennis team suffered a loss against Cal (Pa.). Key players of the match, Gotor and Orris, were the heart of the action. Gotor successfully won the first set with a score of 7-5. Orris, however, took over the second set, leading with a 6-1 win. Freshman Rachel Gallagher from Hollidaysburg, Pa., also contributed to the match. She managed to secure five games at No. 4 singles. Alongside Gallagher, another Freshman Ali Zapach, from New Freedom, Pa., also tried her best, but the overall loss overshadowed their individual wins. The team is looking forward to improving on their mistakes and taking their game to the next level in upcoming matches.
