Hollidaysburg Borough has declared openings for the position of Full-Time Patrolman in its Police Department, inviting eligible individuals to apply and undertake the competitive examinations conducted by Hollidaysburg Civil Service Commission. Key prerequisites include a high school diploma or GED, US citizenship, physical and mental fitness, minimum age of 19 years, and a valid Pennsylvania motor vehicle license. Successful applicants must also establish residency within thirty air miles of Hollidaysburg Borough within a year after finishing a year-long probationary period. Upon showing Act 120 Certification deficit, the borough will facilitate and fund Act 120 Training for the successful candidate. Applicants must also adhere to the Borough’s Civil Service Rules, undergo background scrutiny, and fulfill physical and psychological examinations if selected. Application forms can be collected from the Hollidaysburg Municipal Building Administration Office. A non-refundable fee of $40 will be applicable.
