Heads Up, Hollidaysburg Residents: Sidewalk Grant Program is Open!
Hey folks! Just a quick reminder for all of you in Hollidaysburg. I know, I know, with this chilly weather, the last thing on your mind is outdoor work. But, if you’re planning ahead for when the temperatures rise, you might want to think about that sidewalk of yours. Why, you ask? Well, the Borough of Hollidaysburg’s Council has a grant program that’s open and accepting applications right now. And guess what? It’s all about sidewalks!
What’s the Deal with this Grant?
So, here’s the scoop. The council has authorized a grant program for all residents and property owners. This isn’t just any grant, though. It will reimburse you for 25% of the cost of replacement or installation of a pedestrian sidewalk along a public street. That’s right, a quarter of the cost, straight back into your pocket. Applications are reviewed in the order they’re received, and the program will stay open until the funds run out, or until the council decides to close it.
