Hollidaysburg’s Heartwarming Community Event: The Tree Lighting & Soup Sampling Night
Good news, folks! The much-anticipated tree is now safely rooted in its place on the Diamond, thanks to the concerted efforts of a fantastic team. This team includes the generous Mary Morris of Altoona who donated the tree, Rick Pope and the diligent crew at the Hollidaysburg Department of Public Works, Terry Wilt, the chairperson of the Hollidaysburg Shade Tree Commission, the talented photographer Janet Klingbeil, and the skilled trio of Mick, Dave, and Mike from Kuharchik Construction. Despite the chilly temperatures in the low 30s this morning, the weather was cooperative with a lack of wind, making it a perfect day for tree setup.
