National Prescription Drug Take Back Day: Proper Disposal of Unwanted Medications
Hey there, folks! Here’s a friendly reminder that this Saturday, October 28, from 10am to 2pm, is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. It’s the perfect opportunity for us all to do our part in ensuring the safe disposal of expired or unwanted drugs and medications. No sharps or needles, please!
Where to Go?
If you’re a resident of Hollidaysburg, you can head to the Blair County Sheriff’s Office, conveniently located in front of the Blair County Courthouse. For those of you who aren’t in Blair County, don’t worry! You can use the following link to find your closest participating location: DEA Collection Locator.
Year-Round Disposal
Just a quick mention that there’s also a metal receptacle for drug/medication disposal located in the first floor lobby of the Borough’s Municipal Building at 401 Blair Street, near the office door of the Hollidaysburg Police Department. This handy receptacle is available year-round, Monday through Friday, during regular business hours. Isn’t that convenient?
Spread the Word!
Don’t forget to share this important information with your friends, family, and communities. Let’s all make a collective effort to safely dispose of our unused medications. Use the hashtag #TakeBackDay to spread the word!
