Winter Storm Alert for Blair County and Surrounding Areas
Brace yourselves, Central PA! The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm alert for Blair County and surrounding areas. This weather update is for the period from 1/6 to 1/7/2024.
What’s Coming?
The forecast predicts a winter storm that will impact Central PA on Saturday and Saturday night. But that’s not all folks! Another winter storm is expected to sweep through the region in the middle of next week, bringing a wintry mix that will eventually change to rain.
Expected Snowfall
Get your snow shovels ready! This weekend’s storm is expected to bring a plowable snowfall of 4″+ to most parts of Central PA. If you’re living in areas between I-99/US-220 and I-78, you might want to prepare for even higher snowfall totals of at least 6 inches.
Updates and Changes
There’s an important change to note. The Winter Storm Watch has now been expanded to include York County. There have also been updates to the snowfall totals, so stay tuned!
